Hunt

From the very beginning, I have to mention the fact that I usually hunt for small birds (quails, partridges, pheasants, woodcocks, ducks) and occasionally, rabbits and roebucks. I am member in three hunting associations: A.V.P.S. ACVILA Bucharest, A.V.P.S. COCORUL Bucharest, A.J.V.P.S. CALARASI, having chosen the last two of them because of their abundance of quails, the hunt I prefer. I am also member of the Rheinland German short haired pointer Club, recommended here by Klaus Bommers and Leo Karduc, and I participate with my dogs at the tests specific to the race. The hunt I practice is only on foot with the dogs, in small groups, of maximum 3 persons, enjoying the spectacle of the dogs during hunting ... as the mater of fact, the hunt is, 90 % of it, only for the dog. I personally think that this kind of hunting is the most beautiful and ethic in the same time. The hunt with aret dogs is a privilege, and, happily, this kind of hunting is still possible in its purest way, thanks to the natural conditions – wild fields rich in hunt and plenty of areas still untouched by man. And, as I said, the main actor in this picture, giving all its color, is the dog, the German short haired pointer.
